Introduction & Overview

Ranma Hentai Books has released (and continues to do so) several Pin-up collections or "books" on a page-by-page basis through their Defenders System. Each collection features a particular character, group of characters, or theme. Most are considered open-ended; that is to say, when it is appropriate to return to releasing pin-ups for a particular character, they will do so and the length of that character's "book" is extended.

(Example: If the current narrative book running opposite the pinups, being released on alternating days in Defenders, heavily features Ranma-chan, it would therefor be better variety if the pin-ups were of Shampoo or another female character instead, at least until that particular narrative book completes.)

Pin-up collections will be done by various artists on retainer or limited commission with the RHB Group and so listing all the artists who contributed to a pin-up collection is not practical (and might be entirely different during the next "run" when the book is extended).

They often also include “Alternates” with a different background and/or lighting, or any other minor changes the artists desired to offer. These will be reflected in the page counts as follows:

Commentary:

Purple was the first RHB Pin-up book, release on alternating days parallel to the narrative book Better Angels. Since that book already had lots of Ranma-chan and Akane, with a little Nabiki and Kasumi for extra flavour, it made sense to offer a different Ranma ½ starlet for the pin-ups. Purple contains a very diverse mix of artful softcore glamour pics, and juicy sticky hardcore snapshots.

Brown

Commentary:

Brown was the second RHB Pin-up book. Responding to some comments that Purple had run overly long, Brown was intentionally given a much shorter run. Given that it would have less pages to impress fans with, it had a much higher ratio of very hardcore pictures compared to Purple.

Tendo Sisters

Commentary:

Originally intended to be three separate pin-up books for each girl (White, Green & Blue, following the colour theme already established) They were combined and released as a single collection under the new title above, a pin-up of each sister in turn being released on the Defender pin-up days.

The series opened with two pictures of Akane training in her yellow gi (which had fallen open) one from the early days of RHB, when Perils of Fighting Dirty was in production, and the second one of the same basic pose, but done by the current, top-notch art teams, to show how far the RHB team has come in 5 years.

The rest of the collection is a wonderful variety of common fetishes (light bondage, public sex), stunning swimsuit modelling, sultry “come hither” poses and graphic groupsex.

Yellow

Commentary:

The RHB staff is fully aware Hinako is a secondary character in Ranma ½, and thus less popular than the regulars, regardless of how hot she might be. Correspondingly, Yellow carries a very high ratio of juicy hardcore shots, mostly featuring her having sex with Ranma (with a few other imaginative surprise gems thrown it to make eyebrows raise). As such, Yellow can also server very well as a companion book to Private Tutor Hinako, or even be thought of as a very large collection of bonus art for the book, albeit from an art team with 3 years more experience.

Babes of Glory

Commentary:

For Love of a Girl-side was put temporarily on hold in its own run to allow a place in the release schedule for Babes of Glory to run along side the 2010 Winter Olympics on TV. This fun-loving and occasionally quite silly collection mostly features the female cast performing various winter sports entirely in the nude (excepting the necessary equipment, of course). Efforts were even made to have the released page's content synch up with when that particular sport was airing.

Which sport is it exactly that involves gang-banging a redhead in her skiboots on a snowy mountain? Can we make that an official event by 2014? We better start training now!

Red

Commentary:

Red had been running opposite Babes of Glory during the 2010 Winter Olympics. When that feature completed, Red was put on hold for another five weeks, while FLOAGS (a heavily Ranma-chan focused narrative book) returned to complete its interrupted run. With that complete, and a new narrative book started that was not so Ranmachan-focused (Happiness Consultant) Red could return to the Pin-up slot in the release schedule without overloading the fans on redheaded hotness.

While Red unarguably features the series' #1 character in popularity, that's no cause for slacking or holding back! The collection (thus far) contains plenty of hardcore coitus shots, occasional fetish themes, costumes, new hairstyles, and sultry poses to make you blush like a Hibiki! As the title character and mascot, Ranma-chan makes sure we get a little bit of everything and a whole lot of something in her pin-up collection.
